A broad, fleshy style, this red delivers cherry, red plum, tomato leaf and loam flavors. Turns beefier in the end, where the lively tannins emerge. Offers excellent length. Best from 2025 through 2043.

A saturated crimson color, the 2020 Chianti Classico Riserva Agostino Petri is ripe with a spicy profile and notes of toasted star anise, black cherry, turned soil, and plum. Full-bodied and inviting, it offers ripe tannins with a good deal of freshness that lifts it off the palate, and it has a clean mineral tone on the finish. This well-done Riserva will have much to offer over the next 10 years.

The 2020 Chianti Classico Riserva Agostino Petri is laced with dried herbs, anise, black cherry, tobacco and woodsmoke. Powerful and burly, with good balance, the 2020 is very nicely done. This strapping Riserva should drink well over the next decade or so.
