Bollinger Brut Rosé
To the eye: Bronze tones combined with the intense depth of a great red wine. To the nose: The nobility of red berries: hints of red currant, cherry and wild strawberry. A spicy touch, not unlike Special Cuvée. To the palate: A subtle combination of structure, length and vivacity, with a tannic finish due to the adjunction of red wine. Bubbles as fine as velvet. Flavors of wild berries.
Lacy in texture, with bright, well-knit acidity and a streak of chalky minerality underscoring the subtle flavors of strawberry, white peach, fresh ginger and crystallized honey. A hint of salted almond lingers on the finish. Drink now through 2020. 1,000 cases imported.
Seductively light in color, this is based on Pinot Noir. It has a fine balance and a touch of toast. The fresh red-fruit and citrus flavors harmonize into a complex whole. Like many Bollinger Champagnes, it's a delicious, full-bodied selection that's best suited for food.
